Carlos Dougi

Carlos Dougi was born in Tuba City, Arizona. His family moved to Flagstaff where he went to Flag High School. His dad was Tomas Dougi, an accomplished sculptor who taught Carlos to draw designs. The different geometric designs that Carlos draws in his carved tufa cast are inspired by his father’s drawing technique.

Carlos was mentored in the casting of silver jewelry by top artist Ric Charlie. Ric taught him how to work with delicate tufa stone to creating gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces. Carlos continues to make beautiful tufa cast jewelry with creative designs and often the addition of inlay stones or turquoise cabochons. He is a talented artist and his reputation is growing quickly.
