Jaden Chischillie
Hello, my name is Jaden Chischillie. I am Navajo from Tohajiilee, New Mexico. I was born October 24, 1999 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I am currently working on finishing up my bachelors degree in both Sociology and Native American Studies at The University of New Mexico. After obtaining both my degrees, I plan on attending The New Mexico School of Law to study Policy and Procedure/Criminal and Civil Law in Indian Law.

A majority of my time is spent on the road traveling for rodeos with my family, with the horses on our little ranch, or in a library for school. I am a soon to be mom with my first daughter who we will welcome in the fall of 2023.

While my passion is to become a lawyer, I also make jewelry part-time when I’m not busy with school. I specialize in making Navajo Pearls. Prior to making them myself, I was always a fan of watching my late auntie, Bettilynn Nez, make them. I would spend time with her in her room and her shop while she created some very unique, beautiful Navajo Pearl necklaces. I always admired her creativity. After her passing, I wanted to carry on her beautiful work and I was able to do so with the help of both my grandparents who are very well-known silver/goldsmiths, Marian and Leonard Nez.
