Earrings

The use of earrings in Southwest Native American cultures dates back thousands of years, when beads were strung and tied through a pierced earlobe. Later on, metal hoop earrings were common among Plains Indian Tribes, and the Navajo (Diné) likely borrowed the idea and incorporated it into their own jewelry practices. The arrival of the Spanish brought new earring forms to the Southwest, and Navajo silversmiths soon developed silver wire earrings soldered to a single squash blossom bead. Earring forms changed drastically again with the introduction of stone setting techniques.

Our earring selection is diverse - from simple posts, to hoops, to long dangles, and a variety of techniques that showcases an artist's unique expression.
