Lisa Maria Anderson is a talented Navajo weaver who specializes in beautiful Burntwater weavings. Her mother, Wanda Tracy, is a well-known weaver also known for her Burntwater weavings. They both dye their wool with numerous vegetal dyes, creating rugs that exude warm earth tones. Their weavings have attractive compositions and intricate details. Lisa began weaving at the young age of 16. When she was young she would shear the sheep and roll balls of wool for her grandmother, who also was a wonderful weaver, named Marie D. Nez. Lisa is a talented weaver, and we are honored to represent her work!
