Jerrold Tahe is a talented Navajo silversmith born in Fort Defiance, Arizona. He learned silversmithing from renowned jeweler Emerson Bill, his stepfather, and his mother Nora Tahe, who is also a wonderful jeweler. Jerrold started making jewelry at the young age of 16 immersed in his parents’ workshop. Jerrold loves to work with heavy gauge silver and all of his stamp tools are original and handmade. He rarely uses stones, but prefers to employ traditional Navajo stamping and silversmithing techniques. His sister, Elvira Bill, also makes beautiful heavy gauge silver jewelry.
Jerrold’s pieces have a timeless and classic look, with deeply stamped designs and strong contrast between polished an oxidized. He currently lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
